Block of the Month - Prismatic October 1 through July 1 (10 months)

This fascinating new Prismatic quilt design featuring Wilmington Batiks is a tribute to color! It has a full spectrum of rich colors set against black creating a true showpiece quilt that will brighten a traditional room, perfectly enhance a modern decor, or pull an eclectic room together.

At 91″ square, it allows a side drop of just over 15″ on a queen-sized bed and features an interesting layout. Instead of having several different blocks of the same size (as most quilts do),

Prismatic is primarily a single block in several sizes–15″ square, 11-1/4″ square, and 7-1/2″ square, even a couple of “stretched” versions that are 15″ x 11-1/4″ and 11-1/4″ x 7-1/2″. There is one other block design fitting the 7-1/2″ x 15″ spaces.

Several templates are included in the pattern for the various half-rectangle triangles, including those in the interestingly pieced border. The included templates make this quilt accessible for moderately-skilled quilters and just some fairly simple quilting will make a fabulous finish.
