Annette is back to share her tips and techniques for making a Pineapple Quilt using foundation papers, with a twist. The twist is that you sew on top of the paper, no flipping to stitch! So easy, you will love this technique and with Annette's techniques you'll be able to make several blocks during class.
Fabric Requirements for entire project
Fat Quarters OR 1/4yd of 20 or more different lights (scraps are great) Fat Quarters OR 1/4yd of 20 or more different darks (scraps are great). precut strips can be used – 1 ½” strips will be cut.
1 fat quarter OR 1/4yd of one fabric for center of Pineapple Block Cut several 2 ½” squares for piecing in class, solid red is traditional 1 fat quarter OR 1/4yd of 4 different dark fabrics for corners. Cut several 4” squares for piecing in class.
***You will not need all this fabric for class.
For class bring scrappy light and dark fabrics to cut into 1 ½” strips, Several 2 ½”squares for block center and several 4” squares darks for the corners.

Lynn Graves 12” Pineapple Foundation Sheets by Little Foot There are 20 papers per package. One package will produce a 20 block quilt measuring 48” x 60.
Sewing Machine with a ¼” machine foot- a MUST
Rotary mat, cutter, ruler
Basic Sewing Supplies (neutral thread, pins, scissors, seam ripper, fabric marker, etc.)
***We will make several blocks in class to learn the technique. The rest of the blocks will be completed at home.
Please make sure your machine is in good working condition prior to class and you bring your electrical cord, foot pedal and the appropriate machine foot as listed above.
