Wensleydale Class - Friday, July 25th 10:00am - 1:00pm

Got Scraps???  This is a great class to bring your scraps and learn the basics of paper foundation piecing with Instructor, Annette Plog.  Annette will provide hands on instructions on template or paper foundation piecing on Jen Kingwell's Wensleydale Quilt pattern. 

This is a technique class, where you will leave at the end of class with several blocks finished.  At that point, you will be able to move forward on your own to add more blocks for a larger project.

Fabric Requirements (per pattern)

7-8 yds of a variety of small cuts for fabrics- fat 4^th or fat 8^th work well, also Jen Kingwell’s Lollies for a variety of fabrics

4 ¼ yd for backing

5/8 yd for binding

Templates or Foundation Papers – I will show you how to use both in class, you decide which technique you want to use

     Templates – you can make your own using template plastic and the

         templates offered in the book OR

     Wensleydale Template Acrylic set available at MLF OR

     Wensleydale Foundation Papers available at MLF

Sewing machine with a quarter inch piecing machine foot, 

General sewing supplies (pins, thread, fabric scissors, rotary cutter, small mat for cutting is very useful, scissors and marking pen for template plastic if needed, marking pen for fabric, etc)

If you like to cook, please feel free to make any of the recipes in the book and bring to class to share. 

Please make sure your machine is in good working condition prior to class and you bring your electrical cord, foot pedal and the appropriate machine foot as listed above.
